I have a problem. I can't stop staring out the window. It's spring, and there are so many birds out there. I'm pretty sure some of them are still young. I witnessed at least two birds (or the same bird twice) slam into my window today. Each time I let out a little yelp and get sad. My friends and co-workers seem to think this is funny. They seem to think that the birds are unharmed. I've been traumatized ever since I saw a bird fly into the glass door to our building, break its neck and die last year. I was only about 10 feet away approaching the same door... Here are some examples of the types of birds that I get to see almost every day.
One on the bottom left is a squirrel. I enjoyed watching the poor thing struggling to get to the berries. The branch was a little too small for it.
I thought about putting a bird feeder out there but then I think that would be the end of me. I would get fired. I would get NO work done.
Anyway, aren't they pretty???
PS - Thanks to all my friends who donated money on my site (last blog post)! If you haven't, there's still time. :) Think about it. World without boobs would suck!

So I tried looking these birds up, cause I suck at birds, and need some practice knowing what different ones are.
I think the ones in the upper left and lower right corners are the same type of bird, namely Cedar Waxwing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cedar_Waxwing
I don't really know what the top right is, even after looking at pictures of most of the common ones in Michigan: http://www.mbr-pwrc.usgs.gov/id/pictlist.html
You're absolutely correct! They are Cedar Waxwings. :) The one on the upper right is a male House Finch.
